What's your favorite type of cheese? Or, if you don't like cheese, why not?
Submitted by Draegon Scribe.
OMG!! CHEESE! I LOVE CHEESE! ANY KIND! ***except for Limburger....***
Hoo-boy.
I hate-
Getting into fights, and then not talking to each other.
Working with someone you've fought with......makes for an awkward situation...
Going for a walk only to feel like your legs are going to collapse 10 minutes after you started!
Being honked at by some stranger as you're walking your dog....If you don't know me- Please don't honk!
Constantly feeling like I want to eat......And wanting junk....greasy burgers....chocolate....ice cream....I want food.
Dishes seem to grow in my sink.....
No one is buying our couch and recliner......I want my new sectional!!!
I love-
Being in a good mood.
Getting up in enough time to eat breakfast before work.
I've walked every night for the last several nights; yay me!
Gilad's Cuts and Curves workout.
I found a pair of new jeans that actually FIT me! And they have a lower waistline...AND they're FLARED!!! Yes!
I have had NUMEROUS inquiries about my grooming equipment that I have for sale.....**please someone buy all of it and get it out of my closet and off my hands!!!***
The tuna salad I made for lunch---tuna mixed with black pepper and cottage cheese...on a hotdog bun...with a pickle on top. Yum.
I bought myself some fruit! Apples and bananas and oranges! Yay for eating healthy!
Muffins.....I've been eating alot of muffins lately. Yum.
Chocolate chip cookies in the fridge waiting to be placed on a baking sheet and popped in the oven!!!
I get to go home in about 15 minutes!!!
DID YOU KNOW?
Peel a banana from the bottom and you won't have to pick the little
'stringy things' off of it. That's how the primates do it.
Take your bananas apart when you get home from the store. If you leave
them connected at the stem, they ripen faster.
Store your opened chunks of cheese in aluminum foil. It will stay fresh
much long er and not mold!
Peppers with 3 bumps on the bottom are sweeter and better for eating.
Peppers with 4 bumps on the bottom are firmer and better for cooking.
Add a teaspoon of water when frying ground beef. It will help pull the
grease away from the meat while cooking.
To really make scrambled eggs or omelets rich add a couple of spoonfuls of
sour cream, cream cheese, or heavy cream in and then beat them up.
For a cool brownie treat, make brownies as directed. Melt Andes mints in
double broiler and pour over warm brownies. Let set for a wonderful minty frosting.
Add garlic immediately to a recipe if you want a light taste of garlic and
at the end of the recipe if your want a stronger taste of garlic.
Leftover snickers bars from Halloween make a delicious dessert. Simply
chop them up with the food chopper. Peel, core and slice a few apples. Place
them in a baking dish and sprinkle the chopped candy bars over the apples. Bake
at 350 for 15 minutes!!! Serve alone or with vanilla ice cream.
Reheat Pizza
Heat up leftover pizza in a nonstick skillet on top of the stove, set
heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy. No
soggy micro pizza. I saw this on the cooking channel and it really works.
Easy Deviled Eggs
Put cooked egg yolks in a zip lock bag. Seal, mash till they are all
broken up. Add remainder of ingredients, reseal, keep mashing it up
mixing thoroughly, cut the tip of the baggy, squeeze mixture into egg.
Just throw bag away when done easy clean up.
Expanding Frosting
When you buy a container of cake frosting from the store, whip it with
your mixer for a few minutes. You can double it in size. You get to
frost more cake/cupcakes with the same amount. You also eat less sugar
and calories per serving.
Reheating refrigerated bread
To warm biscuits, pancakes, or muffins that were refrigerated, place
them in a microwave with a cup of water. The increased moisture will
keep the food moist and help it reheat faster.
Newspaper weeds away
Start putting in your plants, work the nutrients in your soil. Wet
newspapers put layers around the plants overlapping as you go cover with
mulch and forget about w eeds. Weeds will get through some gardening
plastic they will not get through wet newspapers.
Broken Glass
Use a wet cotton ball or Q-tip to pick up the small shards of glass you
can't see easily.
No More Mosquitoes
Place a dryer sheet in your pocket. It will keep the mosquitoes away.
Squirrel Away!
To keep squirrels from eating your plants sprinkle your plants with
cayenne pepper. The cayenne pepper doesn't hurt the plant and the
squirrels won't come near it.
Flexible vacuum
To get something out of a heat register or under the fridge add an
empty paper towel roll or empty gift wrap roll to your vacuum. It can be
bent or flattened to get in narrow openings.
Reducing Static Cling
Pin a small safety pin to the seam of your slip and you will not have a
clingy skirt or dress. Same thing works with slacks that cling when
wearing panty hose. Place pin in seam of slacks and -- ta da! -- static
is gone.
Measuring Cups
Before you pour sticky substances into a measuring cup, fill with hot
water. Dump out the hot water, but don't dry cup. Next, add your
ingredient, such as peanut butter, and watch how easily it comes right out.
Foggy Windshield?
Hate foggy windshields? Buy a chalkboard eraser and keep it in the
glove box of your car. When the windows fog, rub with the eraser! Works
better than a cloth!
Reopening envelope
If you seal an envelope and then realize you forgot to include
something inside, just place your sealed envelope in the f reezer for an
hour or two. Viola! It unseals easily.
Conditioner
Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It's cheaper than
shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. It's also a great way
to use up the conditioner you bought but didn't like when you tried it
in your hair...
Goodbye Fruit Flies
To get rid of pesky fruit flies, take a small glass fill it 1/2' with
Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 drops of dish washing liquid, mix well. You
will find those flies drawn to the cup and gone forever!
Get Rid of Ants
Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it
'home,' can't digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so,
especially if it rains, but it works & you don't have the worry about pets
or small children being harmed!
INFO ABOUT CLOTHES DRYERS
The heating unit went out on my dryer! The gentleman that fixes things
around the house for us told us that he wanted to show us something and
he went over to the dryer and pulled out the lint filter. It was
clean. (I always clean the lint from the filter after every load clothes.)
He told us that he wanted to show us something; he took the filter over
to the sink, ran hot water over it. The lint filter is made of a mesh
material - I'm sure you know what your dryer's lint filter looks like.
well,..the hot water just sat on top of the mesh! It didn't go through
it at all! He told us that dryer sheets cause a film over that mesh
that's what burns out the heating unit. You ca n't SEE the film, but it's
there. It's what is in the dryer sheets to make your clothes soft and
static free -- that nice fragrance too, you know how they can feel waxy
when you take them out of the box, well t his stuff builds up on your
clothes and on your lint screen. This is also what causes dryer units to
catch fire & potentially burn your house down with it! He said the best
way to keep your dryer working for a very long time (& to keep your
electric bill lower) is to take that filter out & wash it with hot soapy
water & an old toothbrush (or other brush) at least every six months. He
said that makes the life of the dryer at least twice as long!
How about that!?! Learn something new everyday! I certainly didn't know
dryer sheets would do that. So, I thought I'd share!
Note: I went to my dryer & tested my screen by running water on it. The
water ran through a little bit but mostly collected all the water in
the mesh screen. I washed it with warm soapy water & a nylon brush & I
had it done in 30 seconds. Then when I rinsed it the water ran right
Thru the screen! There wasn't any puddling at all! That repairman knew
what he was talking about!
PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO OTHER PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK.
NOT ONLY COULD IT SAVE SOMEONE'S HOME, BUT IT COULD SAVE
SOMEONE'S LIFE.
I woke up early this morning, and had this strong feeling to go to my parents church. Like God was telling me that He had something to tell me.....I wasn't sure if Jesse would go. There are some issues at that church that he doesn't really agree with, and honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about them either. But the feeling was to strong to ignore. And Jesse went with me, which was awfully sweet of him. I love him. =)
My mom hugged me when we got there, and I completely broke down......Once worship was over, and the pastor got up to teach, he said that he felt a strong feeling like someone was really burdened.....And I broke down again. The message hit home. And I truly feel like I got the answers I was looking for. Even though I've been looking for them for a long time. I have so much emotional baggage, and I'm tired of dragging it around with me. And the thing of it is; i KNOW what I need to do to get myself back on track......It's just hard making that leap of faith and trusting God to take care of everything, when as a human, you think you can do it on your own. Had so much going on, so many hard things happening over the last several years....I only hope and pary that I can learn from them and be a stronger person for it all. It just might make it seem worth it all in the end.
I finally texted the person who is angry with me, to say I was sorry and that I had no reason to lash out like I did, and that I'd miss the friendship. She can do with it what she wants.....But I have a feeling that she'll just ignore me. That's ok I guess. Everything happens for a reason. God's going to take any kind of situation that comes up to get my attention. I just need to keep the attention on Him.
Like Corrie Ten Boom said....or maybe it was her sister who said it, in the concentration camps; "There is no pit so deep, that God is not deeper still."
I can't believe I was doing it wrong all these years.
We must get the word out!!
I was in Wal-Mart buying a large bag of Purina for my dog Lola and was
in line to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog........
Duh!
I was feeling a bit crabby so on impulse, I told her no, I was
starting the Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd
ended up in the hospital last time. But, that I'd lost 50 pounds before I
awakened in an intensive care unit with tubes coming out of most of
my orifices and IV's in both arms. Her eyes about bugged out of her
head.
I went on and on with the bogus diet story and she was totally
buying it. I told her that it was an easy, inexpensive diet and that the
way it works is to load your pockets or purse with Purina nuggets and
simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The package said the
food isnutritionally complete so I was going to try it again.
I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by
now enthralled with my story, particularly a tall guy behind her.
Horrified, she asked if something in the dog food had poisoned me
and was that why I ended up in the hospital?
I said no.....I'd been sitting in the street licking my butt when a car hit me.
I thought the tall guy was going to have to be carried out the door.
This is my best friend Katy's son, Robert. He is the most perfect baby ever!
Here he is the day he was born.
And a great shot of his feet...This was the wallpaper on my phone for a long time.
Here he is in his swinging -cribby-thing....Trying to nap.
One of the last times I visited.....He was being a ham.
This was either before or after he was dancing.....
This was when he was a few months old. Katy and I went out to Panda Garden for dinner......Looks like the chinese food is already making him sleepy! He is so cute...I love him to pieces! I can't believe he's almost 2 already!

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how well do you keep secrets?
Take the quiz here
. And here's my result: (I had the same results as Connie!)
You're a great secret keeper.
I should say, you're good at keeping secrets. You sure know how important secret keeping is. But sometimes you tend to spill some secrets either for your own sake, or for others. Maybe it's because you're concerned or you need to tell it to someone you know you can trust. Still, if you have decided to keep it, then you'll stick to it for life, and won't allow anyone to break through you. Awesome!!
Salad
Describe your hair (color, texture, length).
Kinda brown/red now because I've dyed it..... It's almost all jaw length now, except for the top layer that's still trying to catch up with the rest. My hair is kinda fine. My mom says it's thick, but it's not really....but it's not baby fine either.
Main Course
What kind of driver are you? Courteous? Aggressive? Slow?
Hehehe...I can get road rage, yes. I also can be a paranoid driver; paranoid I'm going to get hit. Most of the time I'm pretty confident; I love driving. And I do try to follow the speed limit.....

When was the last time you had a really bad week?
This week has blown monkeys. And it started last friday......Dear God.....help.
13 favorite things, huh? Hmmmm.....Hopefully doing this once a week will open up the creative thinking process and I'll be able to come up with 13 different things every week and no repeats! =)
13 Favorite Things About Me (because I need to boost my self esteem.....I feel like a big whale today and I wish my ovaries would stop hurting me.....)
1. My eyes. I have very large, expressive eyes. And they have green in them.....I love them!
2. My eyelashes! I've had people stop abruptly in the middle of a conversation and tell me I "have the longest eyelashes" they've ever seen!
3. My lips. Full lips....get compliments on my smile....
4. My hands. I don't know why, but I've always loved my hands. Well, not always; but here lately...
5. My feet! I think I have the cutest feet ever! =) Whenever I get a camera, I'll have fun taking pictures of my feet..hehe
6. My arms. They're nice and toned and have just the slightest tan.
7. My "bazoombas" as a friend so kindly put it... =) I get frustrated whenever I have to buy new bras, but I still like my girls!
8. Legs. Just the slightest bit of working out and the muscles just pop in my thighs! Now...the inner thigh muscles need to start paying attention....Wait! I was boosting my self esteem! **** I love you jiggly inner thighs..*****
9. Waist. I may feel like a whale at times, but my waist is still fairly slender.
10. Hips. Yep, I definately have child-bearing hips! And an hourglass figure.

12. My tender heart. Ok, so sometimes it gets on my nerves, because I'm overly super-sensitive and cry alot. But, I know God made me this way for a reason. Not entirely sure what the reason is....I may never know. But I think having a tender heart in this world, in this day and age, is a good thing.
13. My "Jimminy-Cricket".....Another good thing to have in this day and age......
Peach Cobbler
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
1 (28-ounce) can sliced peaches in heavy syrup, un-drained (use fresh peaches if available; see note*)
Cinnamon, for sprinkling, optional
Vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream, for serving
*If they are available, by all means use fresh peaches. In a saucepan, mix 2 cups fresh peach slices with one cup sugar and one cup water. Bring the mixture to a boil and then simmer for about 10 minutes. Stir often, making sure the sugar is completely dissolved. Substitute this for the canned peaches.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Put butter in a 13 by 9 by 2-inch baking dish and place in the oven to melt. Stir sugar and flour together and mix well. Slowly add milk and continue stirring to prevent the batter from lumping.
Being careful not to burn yourself, remove hot baking dish containing melted butter from oven; pour batter directly over butter in baking dish. Do not stir.
Spoon fruit on top of batter, then gently pour syrup on top. Do not stir. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of batter, if using. (The most important part of this dish is not stirring the mixture at this point in the recipe.)
Bake for 30 to 45 minutes or until golden brown. Your batter will rise above your fruit, producing the most wonderful of crusts. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream.
